Jack Henry & Associates is jumping into the mobile remote deposit capture fray with a new offering from its ProfitStars division.
The company said its Alogent Mobile Remote Deposit solution uses RDC technology from Mitek Systems Inc. of San Diego to support check image capture and deposits from smartphones such as Androids, iPhones, BlackBerrys and Windows-based devices.
"ProfitStars already supports more than 1,500 financial institutions and 155,000 users through commercial remote deposit. Now, we expect to expand this market success by serving hundreds of thousands of additional users who will be able to conveniently make check deposits anytime and anywhere with their mobile phones," said Stacey Zengel, general manager of imaging solutions for Jack Henry & Associates in Monett, Mo.
Jack Henry has about 11,000 financial institutions on its client list, including more than 700 using core processing and related services through its Symitar operation.
