World Council of Credit Unions is taking its conference fundraising auction online.
The organization, whose annual conference opened July 11 in Las Vegas, announced its charitable arm, the Worldwide Foundation for Credit Unions, will produce its fundraising auction online this year to attract a larger audience of bidders.
"In the past, only conference attendees could bid on the auction items, but this year the auction is open to everyone," said Judy Ensweiler, wife of Texas Credit Union League President/CEO Dick Ensweiler, who is co-chairing the auction this year with Crissy Cheney, wife of incoming CUNA President/CEO Bill Cheney.
Even those who attend the conference will participate in the online auction; attendees can view items up for bid in person, but then must place their bids online at www.biddingforgood.com/woccu along with those who cannot attend.
