On-Site Coverage: Hard Work and Sound Strategizing Are Key, Ditka Says

CHICAGO

- The best leaders create plans and empower people and focus on what's best for the organization.

That's the advice former Chicago Bears Coach Mike Ditka gave at the opening session of NAFCU's Annual Conference here.

He said some of the cardinal rules of business should be modified.

"Practice doesn't make perfect. Perfect practice makes perfect," he noted.

He said there is no success without a strong commitment to excellence.

"Your attitude in life will determine your altitude in life," noted Ditka, a member of the Football Hall of Fame who won Super Bowls as both a player and coach.
