Greater New Orleans Federal Credit Union has become the latest small credit union to provide mobile services. The CU has also added account alerts to its home banking service.
The $104 million Metairie, La., institution?a Cavion online banking customer?said nearly 52% of its 15,500 members are under 45 years of age and that "GNO realizes the need to meet technology expectations of Generation X and Y consumers."
GNO members can use the service to make transfers, review histories, stop check payments and view cleared checks on any phone with a Web browser, as well as keep track of account activity with a series of customizable alerts, the credit union said.
