Cheney Begins Work at CUNA

The torch has been passed at CUNA.

Bill Cheney yesterday officially began work as the group's president/CEO.

Cheney, who had previously been president/CEO of the California and Nevada Credit Union Leagues, takes office days before the start of the One Credit Union Conference in Las Vegas, which begins this weekend in Las Vegas. The conference is the combined annual meetings of CUNA and the World Council of Credit Unions.

Since his selection was announced in May, has spent considerable time at CUNA's offices in Washington, D.C. and Madison, Wis. preparing for his new position. He even had the chance to test out his new office early as former CUNA President/CEO Dan Mica vacated his office in mid-June and moved into a smaller office.

At one of the sessions of the One Credit Union Conference Dan Mica is scheduled introduce Cheney to attendees.
