Indiana Members Credit Union is doing its part for the environment with the launch of its "Save And Value Earth" program, called $AVE.
The Indianapolis-based credit union's new green initiative takes aim at making eco-friendly changes, from adding an internal recycling program and reducing the amount of waste produced, to researching products and cleaning solutions that are environmentally friendly and kicking off internal promotions to generate ideas on going green.
A team of staff volunteers will run the IMCU $AVE program and help encourage participation from the entire organization.
"IMCU realizes the importance of being environmentally friendly and we feel it's our duty as a community leader to implement a green initiative, such as $AVE. We feel it's important to play our part in protecting and preserving the earth for future generations and encourage others to do the same," said IMCU CEO Ron Collier.
