Pat Smith of Unitus Wins 'Top Woman' Honor

Patricia Smith, president/CEO of the $804 million Unitus Community Credit Union has been named by the Portland Business Journal as a member of the city's "Top 25 "Women in Business."

Smith was selected for the honor from among 200 nominees, receiving the annual Orchid Award for achievement in business and contributions to the community.

She was also cited for work on behalf of Doernbecher Children's Hospital and Children's Miracle Network. She also has led the CU's participation in the local "Adopt a Class" program, part of an annual holiday food and clothing drive and college scholarship program.

Smith has been with Unitus since 2002 and previously was an executive at BECU in Seattle.
