A new bill pay widget just launched by Fiserv Inc. will enable millions of consumers to pay bills online without leaving their credit union or bank home page.
The widget is available to financial institutions using the CheckFree RXP online bill pay service and is being deployed the latest versions of the eCom and Corillian Online banking solutions, Fiserv said.
The widget provides a condensed display of payment criteria-essentials such as the bill itself, pay date and amount-integrated into any page of the online banking service, allowing users to schedule transactions without going to a dedicated page.
"The average online banking user logs into the service 15 times per month, and the payment widget makes bill payment more easily accessible during these frequent visits. This can result in substantial increases in adoption and usage of the service," said Jamie Deterding, senior vice president at Fiserv in Brookfield, Wis.
