Fiserv Inc. is now offering a bill pay widget the company says will enable millions of consumers to pay bills from within the home page of their credit union or bank.
The widget is available to financial institutions using the CheckFree RXP online bill pay service and is being deployed the latest versions of the eCom and Corillian Online banking solutions, Fiserv said.
The widget provides a condensed display of payment criteria-essentials such as the bill itself, pay date and amount-integrated into any page of the online banking service, allowing users to schedule transactions without going to a dedicated page.
"This improved accessibility leads to improved convenience for consumers, which can result in substantial increases in adoption and usage of the service," said Jamie Deterding, senior vice president, Bank Solutions, at Fiserv in Brookfield, Wis.
