No Joke, CU-Based Foolproof Expands to AOL, Fox

No foolin', FoolProof, the financial literacy package of the Credit Union Associations of Colorado/Wyoming, used April 1 to do more self promotion as it officially expanded on to daily programming of AOL and FoxNews.

The consumer advocacy program, used primarily by high school educators and others to aid financial education, while plugging CUs, was featured today in articles appearing on AOL's WalletPop and FoxBusiness.com.

AOL also posted FoolProof's "April Fools Month" public service video on its Web site. This is AOL's third feature on FoolProof, and can be seen at http://www.walletpop.com/blog/2010/04/01/credit-card-tricks-to-avoid/.

"We believe true consumer advocacy is the best marketing tool in the world to differentiate credit unions from banks," Will deHoo, Foolproof's president said. "That's why we launched three separate consumer advocacy initiatives today-all aimed at differentiating credit unions from banks."

"Are you a Fool With Your Money?" is one of the videos released today featuring easy tips to help consumers 'Foolproof" their money. The video, noted FoolProof, "is already on the Web site's of 100 credit unions nationwide and we'll be happy to give that video to any credit union for use on its Web site," Dehoo said.
