With several thousand bankers in town this week, CUNA is making sure its side of the story isn't forgotten.
The group is sending a four-page brochure to all members of Congress reminding them that credit unions can do more business lending if the cap is raised from 12.25% to 25%.
The American Bankers Association, which has made killing that bill a top priority, will have several thousand members in town this week to meet with House members and Senators.
CUNA's brochure compares business lending by banks and credit unions and includes testimonials from six business owners who received loans from credit unions after being turned down by banks.
