Michigan First CU Adds Twitter Alerts

With an eye on making banking easy and convenient for members, Michigan First Credit Union has added a Twitter alert to its personal finance management toolkit.

The new Twitter feature enables members to receive alerts via direct messages on Twitter, in addition to mobile text and e-mail. Members can create their own custom alerts for virtually any balance or transaction activity, such as receiving a Twitter alert when their direct deposit is credited to their account while on vacation.

Since the launch of its new online banking service less than a year ago, 31% of Michigan First members have become active users, with approximately 20% of active users employing the PFM tools and alerts.
