The funeral for DeFarra Gaymon, president/CEO of the Credit Union of Atlanta, will take place at 12:00 p.m. July 24 at Benedict College in Columbia, S.C.
Gaymon graduated from Benedict College. The funeral will be held at the Antisdel Chapel on the college's campus at1600 Harden St.
The viewing of the body will take place from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. July 23 at the Bostick and Tompkins Funeral Home at 2930 Colonial Drive in Columbia, S.C.
The Credit Union of Atlanta said it will set up a scholarship in Gaymon's name and is asking for donations to it in lieu of and in addition to flowers.
Gaymon was shot and killed in a police shooting July 16 in Newark, N.J.
