Tower Federal Credit Union presented a check for $10,000 to long-time member David Snyder and the lucky grand prize winner of the credit union's savings campaign, Super Savers Sweepstakes. Snyder was selected as the winner after making qualified direct deposits to his Tower checking account.
The Laurel, Md.-based credit union launched the campaign in April 2009 in an effort to encourage members to set aside money on a regular basis to establish good savings habits.
Tower members had a chance to win up to $50,000 in total sweepstakes cash prizes awarded throughout the year. Credit union members were automatically entered for the $10,000 grand prize drawing at the end of the year when they made deposits every month to their savings or checking account. The credit union will launch the 2010 Super Saver Sweepstakes this April.
