GAC Meeting Will Determine ACCU's Future

The Association of Corporate Credit Unions will decide whether or not to replace Executive Director Brad Miller during CUNA's Government Affairs Conference, said Executive Committee Chairman Steve Roy.

The ACCU lost Miller when he took over as President/CEO of Southeast Corporate Federal Credit Union late last week. Roy, who is president/CEO of the Portland, Maine-based TriCorp Federal Credit Union, said the ACCU will continue its strategic direction under the management of the executive committee, but members will meet sometime during GAC to determine its future direction.

"It's too difficult to hire for a full-time position until the dust settles," Roy said of the current corporate environment. Too many uncertainties remain about the future of the corporate network, he said, including the effect new regulations and other factors will have on the number of corporate credit unions and their business model.

"I don't know where it's going to go from here," Roy said of the ACCU.
