New CEO at NW Preferred

NW Preferred Federal Credit Union has found its new leader within its walls.

NW Preferred FCU Executive Vice President Steve Canfield has been named the new president/CEO.

Canfield steps in for former President/CEO Tom Edwards, who recently retired from the over $111 million credit union.

Prior to joining the Tigard, Oregon-based credit union, he worked for six years for NCUA as an examiner for the Western Region.

Throughout his 20-year career, Canfield has held a number of volunteer positions within the credit union industry, including as a current member of the board of directors of the Credit Union Association of Oregon and CUAO's CU Services. He also previously served as a member of the supervisory committee for Northwest Corporate Credit Union.

"I am grateful for this opportunity to work with the board and the wonderful employees of NW Preferred to continue serving the personal and business needs of our members," said Canfield.
