State Employees' Credit Union is showing its support to the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences.
The Raleigh, N.C-based credit union has provided a $4 million grant to fund the museum's planned Nature Research Center centerpiece, a three-story area complete with audio and visual technologies for live presentations on environmental issues and scientific discoveries.
Titled the SECU Daily Planet, the centerpiece will also provide live feeds of the latest science news via the North Carolina Research and Education Network, Research Channel Consortium, NASA-TV, and local stations WRAL-TV, UNC-TV and North Carolina Public Radio.
It is estimated that the Nature Research Center will draw more than 200,000 visitors annually from across the state.
SECU has $18.4 billion in assets.
