GFA FCU signed on in 1987 as the first credit union client of the former Connecticut Online. The company was formed in 1967 and has nine board members from client institutions.
"It is an honor for me to serve on COCC's board of directors, and I look forward to working with this outstanding organization. To provide input at the board level represents a great opportunity for our credit union," Sbrega said.
"Credit unions are an important segment of our client population and we need to hear their voices at every level of our cooperative organization," said Richard Leone, president/CEO of COCC.
Sbrega has been with the $298 million credit union for 30 years. She also is a director of the Massachusetts Share Insurance Corp. and a trustee for Mount Wachusett Community College and Heywood Hospital.
COCC provides core and image processing and other technology services to about 150 financial institutions, including approximately 40 credit unions in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New York and Ohio.
