Ondine Irving, founder of Card Analysis Solutions, is working to help consumers find credit unions that offer consumer friendly credit cards.
Irving said she is hard at work on Web site based search engine that will allow a consumer to enter their zip code or address and see what credit unions in their areas offer credit cards that have fixed rates, lower annual percentage rates and lower fees.
"Right now I am addressing the technical issues with the site and recruiting credit unions to be included," Irving said, adding that she got the idea for the site after getting a feel for the depth of consumer anger against big bank card issuers and corresponding consumer desperation to find card alternatives.
