N.Y. CU Makes News

Teachers Federal Credit Union's Evalina Robinson, manager of fraud loss prevention, recently appeared on LI Talks, Long Island News 12 to discuss identity theft and fraud.

Robinson and fellow guest Touro Law Center Professor Jonathan Ezor answered the questions How safe is your identity? And how vulnerable are institutions and personal accounts?

Robinson has 20 years of experience in the fraud and loss prevention area and discussed the proactive approach Teachers FCU has taken to protect consumers. Robinson said companies both large and small need to be more diligent in protecting consumers by checking firewalls and security/encryption systems.

Both Robinson and Ezor answered viewer questions.

"People, regardless of their ages, need to know how to protect themselves from identity and credit-debit card theft, knowledge is the tool that will help keep them less vulnerable to hacker-thieves and other unscrupulous people who pry on innocent, trusting people," Robinson said.
