CU*Answers Partners With Cash Handler

The 165 credit unions that run on CU*BASE core processing platform can now use the cash automation solutions of Talaris.

The former De La Rue Cash Systems, based in Lisle, Ill., and the Grand Rapids, Mich.-based CUSO CU*Answers said they will partner by using middleware from LUTZWOLF Systems to link Talaris' cash automation solutions to the CU*BASE core processing platform.

Individual credit unions can then integrate the company's teller cash recycler and dispenser interfaces, and realize average savings of 28 seconds per transaction in withdrawals, 20 seconds with deposits and 10 minutes for branch vault buys and sells, Talaris said.

Jody Karnes, chief information officer of CU*Answers, said, "Full branch automation represents the future of banking, and we are pleased to offer seamless integration of Talaris' cash automation solutions."
