Border FCU in Del Rio said it no longer has to print reports and store them manually and has improved member service by providing quicker access to records.
In addition to saving thousands in reduced courier and storage costs, the branch capture system has reduced bad-check losses and speeded check clearing, the credit union said.
"We considered four vendors, but ultimately IBT's product was more user-friendly and the company offers excellent technology support. That's a key consideration for the credit union because we are located in a remote location," said Carrie Martin, the 21,000-member credit union's executive vice president and chief financial officer.
Cedar Park, Texas-based IBT provides core processing, imaging and Check 21 solutions to about 200 financial institutions, including about 20 credit unions, the company said.
