EverythingCU has launched PlumWall, an online testimonial management system designed to make it easy for members and credit union staffers to publish testimonial stories on the credit union's Web site.
"We know that great things are happening inside the walls of every credit union every day," said Morriss Partee, CEO of EverythingCU. "We thought we would help the movement by making it easy for credit unions to show these incredible stories to the rest of the world online."
Once an order is placed on the EverythingCU site, PlumWall can be customized within days depending on the complexity of the credit union's main Web site.
Recently Innovations FCU became the first to pilot the program via the Share Your Story link on www.innovationsfcu.org. Within just two weeks, testimonials were viewed more than 200 times.
"We were looking for a way to provide our members with more of a voice," said Innovations FCU Senior Vice President/Chief Marketing Officer Karen Hurst.
Partee said a presentation last year by Aite Group Senior Financial Analyst Ron Shevlin at BarCamp New England, an online venue for discussing ideas in which members agree to meet up, sparked the idea for PlumWall.
"He said, 'It's not about the story that you, the credit union, tells your members about itself; ultimately what counts is the story that the member tells him or herself about doing business with your credit union,'" Partee said. "So why not help enable honest, unfiltered stories from real members, that other members can identify that also helps credit unions increase their presence in the rapidly growing world of social media."
