State Employees Federal Credit Union, Albany, N.Y., has promoted Executive Vice President John DeCelle to chief marketing officer.
As chief marketing officer, the 20-year marketing veteran is responsible for sales and marketing strategy, business-to-business relationships, member education, member group development segment strategy, community relationships, research and development, online banking and e-commerce strategy.
Prior to joining the credit union, DeCelle served as vice president of marketing for a bank holding company.
Baxer Gets Green Award
Baxer Credit Union is the latest credit union to be awarded leadership in energy and environment design certification for commercial interior renovation by the U.S. Green Building Council.
According to BCU President/CEO Mike Valentine, BCU is not only the first Illinois credit union to be LEED certified but its headquarters is the first building in Vernon Hills to achieve this status.
"Becoming a more environmentally responsible organization is another way BCU gives back to the community and its members," said Valentine. "Not only does it reduce our carbon footprint and provide a healthier place to work and visit, but it creates efficiencies that translate into higher savings rates, lower loan rates, and reduced or eliminated service fees for our members."
