In an international competition that honors creative professionals who conceive, write and design traditional and emerging media, Arizona State CU was the only financial institution with an in-house creative team to win the highest honors of the platinum award for its annual report.
The credit union won four awards, including a gold award for it helpingAZ.com Web site, an interactive site to help Arizona State employees, university employees and others struggling from job loss.
The site provides tips and resources to improve its members' financial situation. The credit union also received a gold award for its "YourSavings Economic Stimulus" newsprint ad and an honorable mention for the corresponding radio spot.
"We are honored to have our marketing efforts recognized by such a well-respected organization," said Paul B. Stull, senior vice president of marketing at Arizona State CU.
"The success of the organization is due to a proven record of exceptional service, strong relationships and a solid reputation-but when we can successfully accomplish those goals in a fun, creative way, our work is even more enjoyable."
The Hermes creative awards are judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals-an international organization consisting of several thousand marketing, communication, advertising, public relations, media production, Web and freelance specialists.
The association fosters and supports the efforts of marketing professionals who contribute their talents to public service and charitable organizations.
