PSCU Processing Revved Up by Metastorm

PSCU Financial Services is now processing more than a million messages a day on a new gateway data hub centered on software from Metastorm, a global provider of enterprise architecture and business process management tools.
The big CUSO is using the company's Integration Manager software to handle messages with First Data Corp., which handles credit card transactions for more than 13 million member accounts for PSCU's 600-plus member credit unions.
PSCU also uses the Metastorm solution to provide hot failover capabilities between the CUSO's data centers. More processes are expected to be added to the hub, taking its activity to 100 million transactions a month next year.
"Deploying this new technology streamlines processing and provides more efficient operations. It also enables our cooperative to speed the development and introduction of new services," said Steve Lattman, the cooperative's chief technology officer.
