Tropical Builds Business

PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. -- With the launch of its coffee talks series, Tropical Financial Credit Union is aiming to build more relationships with local small businesses.

"These coffee talks will allow businesses in the area to introduce themselves and learn about the services we offer including online business accounts," said Jim Wagy, chief operating officer of Tropical Financial. "Business services are a keystone of TFCU, and we invite the community to come see us to learn about us and who we are."

The breakfast series, which will run through Oct. 31, will be held at various Wal-Marts and Winn-Dixie stores.

In related news, the $747 million credit union has just launched a commercial mortgage refinancing program with rates starting at 5.99% on a 10-year term that is amortized over 20 years. There is a one-point origination and no prepayment penalties.
