Synergent Lands First New York

WESTBROOK, Maine -- Synergent said it is expanding into New York with the signing of a Watertown credit union to a core processing contract.

The subsidiary of the Maine Credit Union League is adding the $135 million Northern FCU to its roster of more than 50 credit unions it said it has converted to the Symitar Episys platform in the past four years.

The 24,000-member CU (www.northernfcu.com) currently runs on a Fiserv IntegraSys core platform, according to its 5300 Call Report with the NCUA.

"We are delighted to welcome this credit union to the Episys platform, and in doing so, extend [our] reach into the state of New York," said Synergent Senior Vice President Jeff Gray.

Westbrook-based Synergent (www.synergentcorp.com) said it is now the largest service bureau provider of the Episys solution from Symitar, a part of Jack Henry & Associates.
