Electronic Bill Pay Seen Taking the Majority Position in 2009

BOSTON -- In a kind of online landmark, electronic bill pay will overtake other forms of payments in 2009, according to a new report from the Aite Group. The uptake in that channel coincides with a sharp decline in mailed bill payments, and by 2012, Aite Group predicts, 64% of bill payments in the United States will be electronic.
