Alabama SBA Top Ranking to Redstone FCU

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. -- The Small Business Administration has named Redstone Federal Credit Union as the agency's top lender in Alabama, the credit union reported.

The ranking is based on the number of SBA loans approved this year through July for businesses in Alabama by an Alabama financial institution, according to the $2.4 billion credit union.

"Small businesses are very important to the economy here in Huntsville and the Tennessee Valley. Huntsville has been recognized as one of the best cities in the nation for entrepreneurs and the economy is strong in this region," said Jack Wright, vice president of business retail at Redstone FCU.

The credit union was approved by SBA in 2003 to become one of the agency's lenders.
