ALEXANDRIA, Va. -- Members of Pentagon Federal Credit Union looking for one of the more than 41,000 branches and ATMs linked to the big CU now can find the nearest location without leaving www.penfed.org.
The BranchMap service from Code Green LLC of Gaithersburg, Md., provides interactive search and mapping tools for locating the $12.1 billion credit union's 27 branches and 70 ATMs worldwide, as well as more than 41,000 locations in a network of surcharge-free and fee-less ATMs that includes the Allpoint Network, Cashpoints and CU24/CUHere.
The new solution replaced a prior system that required members to visit four or five different Web sites to get search results, said Shashi Vohra, the 825,000 member credit union's vice president of business development.
"With BranchMap, we can leverage all the networks from our Web site, which, in turn drives members to our site to conduct their searches," Vohra said. "Driving them to our Web site also provides us the opportunity to cross-sell different products to them as well."
BranchMap now is in use at more than two dozen credit unions, the company said.
