'Ben Stein on Life' to Open CUES CEO Network 2008

MADISON, Wis. -- The multi-talented Ben Stein will bring his deadpan delivery to the opening speaker slot at the Credit Union Executives Society's CEO Network 2008 event, scheduled for Nov. 2-5 at the Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas.

The entertainer and author will deliver his "Ben Stein on Life" routine, which will include his thoughts on the many challenges Americans are facing, and his belief that the country will not only work through all of its financial and economic problems but ultimately triumph over them.

Despite his well-known comedic appearances in movies, television and commercials, Stein is also a highly accomplished writer, lawyer and economist. He was a speech writer and lawyer for Presidents Nixon and Ford, a columnist and editorial writer for the Wall Street Journal, an economist for the U.S. Department of Commerce, a poverty lawyer and professor of law at the Pepperdine University School of Law. Stein currently writes a biweekly column for The New York Times and appears as a commentator on Fox News.

CEO Network 2008 is a professional development event open to all credit union C-level executives and senior management. The conference will feature world-class speakers and in-depth content, including coverage and analysis of Election Day 2008. To register for CEO Network 2008, visit cues.org and select conferences.
