Redwood Credit Union Adds Online Funds Transfer Service
The Move Money feature requires a two- to three-day registration period to confirm account ownership information at the other institution and then can request one-time or recurring transfers at any time, transfers that are then usually completed within three business days.
Move Money complements other services from RCU Online, including Quicken/QuickBooks downloads, free bill pay, online loan applications and e-statements.
"We are always looking at ways to enhance online services to our members and Move Money is a great addition to our platform because it is secure and easy to use," said Mark Michaels, senior vice president of information technology for 140,000-member Redwood CU (www.redwoodcu.org).

AEA FCU Helps Kids
YUMA, Ariz. -- AEA Federal Credit Union is helping Boys and Girls Club members stay cool this summer.
A plea for cool cash to fund a new air conditioning system was sent to community businesses by Yuma's Salvation Army and Boys and Girls Club. Subsequently, the credit union answered the call with a check for $5,000.
"With summer coming, our board of directors felt it was imperative to help the Boys and Girls Club get the air conditioning system they need for their gymnasium," said Executive Vice President Denise Sweet-McGregor. The Boys and Girls Club provides quality, character enrichment programs to hundreds in Yuma County and serves thousands of meals, provides emergency shelter and utility assistance, and gives items of clothing and bus tickets to Yuma's neediest families every month.
AEA FCU's donation represents only a portion of the $15,000 needed to fund the complete air conditioning project.
