MECHANICSBURG, Pa. -- AmeriChoice Federal Credit Union is the premier sponsor for the Mechanicsburg Chamber of Commerce 80th annual jubilee day.
The event, held on June 19 in downtown Mechanicsburg, is the largest and longest running one day street fair in the eastern United States and media estimates that attendance is in upwards of 60,000 people.
"AmeriChoice is dedicated to the Mechanicsburg community," said AmeriChoice FCU CEO Kipp Stecher. "We are very excited to partner with the Mechanicsburg Chamber of Commerce to offer this great event to our community members."
Vendors, including artists, crafters, civic organizations and businesses, line downtown streets along with a wide variety of food, fun games, amusement rides, children's activities and a petting zoo. In addition, back by popular demand is the karaoke contest for charity, benefiting the Children's Miracle Network.
In honor of the event's 80th anniversary, a past, present, and future theme will resonate with many of the day's activities. Reminiscent of jubilee days past is a "sheep to shawl" demonstration, with the hand-made shawl raffled off with proceeds going to the Children's Miracle Network. Antique automobiles and a jubilee day past exhibit can be found at the Mechanicsburg Museum. In addition, present and future themes were highlighted through music venues and an interactive media display by Comcast.

Yolo Lends Helping Hand
WOODLAND, Calif. -- Yolo Federal Credit Union has made emergency loan assistance and payment extensions to members affected by the state's budget impasse.
Members not receiving their normal pay as a result of a budget delay can contact Yolo FCU about no-interest loans or payment extensions.
"Yolo FCU's emergency loan assistance program provides short-term, no-interest loans to help members who miss a payday during the budget delay," said Jenee Rawlings, vice president of lending. "The loan will be made up to the net amount of the member's regular paycheck. The process is very simple and takes only a few minutes."
