NAFCU Services Adds SAS to Preferred List

WASHINGTON -- NAFCU Services Corp. has added business intelligence software giant SAS to its list of Preferred Partners.

The two organizations said better business intelligence can help in four key areas: membership growth, risk management, regulatory compliance and operational efficiencies.

SAS (www.sas.com) is based in Cary, N.C., and is one of the world's largest private software companies, with 400 locations and software in use at more than 44,000 customer sites.

"SAS is an industry leader in business intelligence, and their platform will significantly enhance the ability of credit unions to become more competitive in a rapidly changing marketplace," said David Frankil, president of NAFCU Services (www.nafcu.org/nafcuservices).

David Wallace, global financial services marketing manager at SAS, said, "SAS helps credit unions grow member Lifetime Value while increasing retention rates, improve credit scoring and risk management, and enhance the ROI of their marketing investments. With SAS, credit unions can better predict and optimize their future."

Akcelerant Hosts Annual Users Conference

MALVERN, Pa. -- Akcelerant Software LLC said more than 175 people attended the 2008 Akcelerant Customer Conference held last month in Scottsdale, Ariz.

A main goal for the third annual conference was the introduction of new product branding, the company said. Arizona Federal Credit Union was presented the annual Pioneer Award for its innovation and support of Akcelerant technology and President/CEO Jay Mossman presented the keynote address about the company's vision and strategy.

A new addition to the breakout sessions was a lending track. Akcelerant recently acquired the TAPS automated lending solution from FORUM Solutions, the Indianapolis-based tech CUSO.

Akcelerant (www.akcelerant.com) is a provider of marketing, sales and service, lending, collections and recovery software to more than 200 credit unions and banks in 44 states.
