SecureWorks Provides New Outsource Offering

ATLANTA -- SecureWorks is now offering a new service it says allows clients to collect and analyze logs and alerts in real time without having to install specialized software or hardware.

The software-as-a-service (SaaS) offering is called Security Information Management On-Demand and collects actionable data from both security devices and information assets on events that may indicate such problems as intrusion attempts or virus attacks.

The service also allows users to comply with regulatory requirements for log monitoring and reviewing and provides instant access to staff at SecureWorks' 7/24 operations center, the company said.

"Having a SIM solution with no deployment headaches or infrastructure to manage gives organizations a valuable option that significantly improves security for their organization in an easy-to-use, efficient manner," said Mike Cote, president & CEO at Atlanta-based SecureWorks (www.secureworks.com).

"SIM On-Demand lets our clients be users of SIM technology without having to be SIM managers," said Cote, whose company has a client list of more than 2,000 organizations, including credit unions.
