First Quarter Car Sales: Out With the New, In With the Used

First quarter 2008 data from Callahan and Associates clearly shows the downward trend in new auto sales as compared to one year ago, now sinking below 2006 levels. But the sale of used autos has steadily increased over the past three years, a trend auto industry officials expect to continue well into 2008.

Data also shows the shrinking size of the auto loan portfolio compared to all CU loans.
