E1 Financial Credit Union Celebrates New Supermarket Branch Opening

MONTEREY PARK, Calif. -- On the heels of the recent opening of their new branch in Monterey Park and the start of operations at their East Los Angeles branch, E1 Financial Credit Union celebrated the opening of its newest branch located inside Vons Supermarket in La Verne.

Industry leaders from throughout Southern California were on hand to congratulate E1 on the opening of its second in-store branch. With another branch located inside the Rosemead Wal-Mart, E1 is now well-positioned to explore the advantages of both in-store and retail branches.

California and Nevada Credit Union League Senior Vice President Lucy Ito said, "I think this is a great opportunity for the community of La Verne, E1 Financial and the East San Gabriel Valley."

Ito was joined by High Desert FCU Chief Operations Officer Frank J. Cunningham, SCE Federal CU Chief Operations Officer George Poitou and USC Credit Union CEO Gary Perez.

E1 has aggressively expanded their branch network, opening three branches in four months, with two of those branches within two weeks of each other and continues to explore opportunities in the San Gabriel Valley.

The credit union has strong ties with the communities they serve, partnering with local cities and schools in financial education, volunteerism, and serving on the boards of directors for a wide variety of community organizations. In 2007, E1 donated over 1,000 hours to organizations and causes within their communities.
