CU Business Reaches Two More Milestones

PORTLAND, Ore. -- April was the month for milestones for CU Business Group LLC.

The business services and lending CUSO signed on its 250th credit union and reviewed more than $1 billion in member business loans.

"There is a growing need for our members to obtain business financing and deposit services from their credit union," said Chris Choat, president/CEO of $300 million Houston Federal Credit Union, the 250th client. "To put it bluntly, we did not want to send these members down the street to the bank any longer."

As credit markets continue to tighten, credit unions are receiving more business loan requests, said Larry Middleman, president/CEO, CU Business Group.

"This presents increased opportunities for credit unions, which bodes extremely well for their potential growth and profitability," Middleman said.

CU Business Group serves more than 250 credit unions in 32 states.
