Winthrop CU Joins With Founders FCU

ROCK HILL, S.C. -- In a merger that took place on May 1, Winthrop Credit Union became a part of Founders Federal Credit Union.

Members of Winthrop Credit Union can now conduct business at any of Founders 22 offices, ATMs, or three service centers in North and South Carolina. The original staff at Winthrop will continue to operate the branch.

Winthrop had $4.4 million in assets and 933 members that will join with Founders' $1.4 billion in assets and 172,496 members.

Founders offers free checking, free debit cards, platinum Visa Credit or MasterCard, free Founders On-line and e-lending, bill pay, call 24 account access by phone, investment services, financial counseling and Founders Insurance Services.
