SBA Launches National Small Business Site for a Week of Celebration

WASHINGTON -- Marking the upcoming National Small Business Week, which takes place April 21-25, the Small Business Administration has launched a new Web site for the week-long celebration and released the lineup of keynote speakers.

The new Web site, (www.NationalSmallBusinessWeek.com), features information about the agency's premier annual event. Events will takes place in Washington and New York.

Among the featured speakers confirmed are Secretary Mike Leavitt, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services; Ambassador Susan C. Schwab, United States Trade Representative; Newt Gingrich, former House Speaker; David Latimore of the Initiative for a Competitive Inner City; John Bryant of Operation HOPE; and other business leaders, CEOs and politicos.

Up-to-the-minute highlights, multimedia content and information will be updated on the Web site during Small Business Week events in real-time. Visitors will also be able to upload photos of the events directly to the site.

The site provides information about the week's schedule, featured sessions, event locations, award winners' biographies and sponsor information. In addition, information for Small Business Week award winners will be accessible in member-only sections.
