Fraudsters Focus on Credit Unions, Banks Evenly in February

BEDFORD, Mass. -- Credit unions, regional banks and nationwide banks were equally attractive to phishers in February, according to RSA Security. The operator of the Anti-Fraud Command Center said that this is the first time that the attacks have been so evenly distributed. RSA Security also said that the number of brands attacked increased in February from the month before, but remains slightly below record levels, and that 20 financial institutions not before attacked came under phisher fire in February.
