Members 1st Federal Credit Union, Mechanicsburg, Pa., announced the recipients of its Associate of the Quarter award for the fourth quarter 2007. Cheryl Hahn was named the administrative associate of the quarter and Traci Schaeffer was named the branch associate of the quarter.

SOUTH

BrightStar Credit Union, Sunrise, Fla., announced that President and CEO Raffael Crockett received the 2008 Sistrunk Outstanding Achievement Award from the Sistrunk Historical Festival. Also, Jason B. Thompson has been named vice president of operations.

Langley Federal Credit Union, Newport News, Va., announced that William (Gene) E. Griffith, Jr. has been added to its Board of Directors. Griffith is a financial management specialist within NASA Langley Research Center's Officer of the chief financial officer and serves as LaRC's Financial Center business process lead. Griffith has alos served on LFCUs Supervisory Committee since 2004.

Security Service Federal Credit Union, San Antonio, announced the promotion of Michelle Monita to assistant vice president of central lending. Monita joined Security Service FCU more than 20 years ago and was most recently manger of the central lending department. Also, David Garcia was promoted to manager of the De Zavala location. Garcia previously was an assistant manager at Security Service FCUs Highway 90 location.

SAFE Federal Credit Union, Sumter, S.C., announced the hiring of Paul Hilton as vice president of human resources. Also, Michael Baker was promoted from manger of the 160 Wesmark Blvd. branch to vice president of branch administration.

MIDWEST

DuTrac Community Credit Union, Dubuque, Iowa, announced that Gerald Osterhaus and Kelan Manning were elected to three-year terms on the Board of Directors of its 61st annual meeting. The following officers were also elected at the meeting: Mike Ready chairmam, Harlan Pedretti vice chairman, Kelan Manning chief financial offiers and treasurer, Linda MacDonald secretary. Bob Mueller, Russ Kuennen, Don Pfohl, Chris Dibbern, and Vonda Hosch are also on the board.

Indiana University Credit Union, Bloomington, Ind., announced the promotion of David Sipes to vice president, marketing & business development. Sipes has been employed at IUCU for 11 years and was most recently the 17th Street Branch manager and director of lending.

Hiway Federal Credit Union, St. Paul, Minn., announced the hiring of Bill Wagner as assistant vice president of business development.

WEST

Numerica Credit Union, Spokane, Wash., announced that Training Coordinator Dianna Wood was awarded the Numerica CUs Bud Crump Award for Service Excellence for her achievements in 2007. The Bud Crump Award is only given out when a candidate is nominated. The award recognizes a Numerica CU employee who has demonstrated the same values and commitment that James "Bud" Crump, volunteer and leader of Numerica CU for over 50 years did.
