NASCUS System Summit To Feature Gee And Sims

ARLINGTON, Va. -- Idaho State Regulator Gavin Gee and Brass Media's Bryan Sims are among the speakers lined up for the annual NASCUS State System Summit.

NASCUS announced the agenda updates for the summit that will take place August 21-23 in Seattle, Wash.

Gee, chair of the State Regulatory Registry, past NASCUS chairman and Pierre Jay Award honoree will present "State Regulatory Mortgage Project-A Step Toward a Solution on the Mortgage Crisis." Gee will update attendees on the project state mortgage regulators have been working on since 2004 to develop a nationwide licensing system for the residential mortgage industry. Gee will explain how the project is bringing greater uniformity and transparency to the mortgage industry while maintaining and strengthening the ability of state regulators to monitor the industry and protect their citizens.

In "Generation Y...and Why Your Credit Union Can't Afford to Miss Them," Sims will discuss the relationship between Generation Y and credit unions. Sims will explain how Generation Y is going to change the way credit unions do business and how credit unions can reach young adults by understanding the way they think.

A full agenda and additional event details on the NASCUS Sate System Summit is available on the NASCUS Web site, http://www.nascus.org/events/08-Summit.htm.
