Alabama Telco Makes NCUSIF Switch

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- Effective April 1, Alabama Telco Credit Union is changing its deposit insurance to insurance provided by the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund.

Through NCUSIF, aggregate non-IRA savings deposits will be insured up to $100,000 and aggregate IRA deposits will be insured up to $250,000. This insurance replaces the $250,000 per account coverage previously provided by American Share Insurance.

Alabama Telco will continue to carry Excess Share Insurance, a licensed insurance company, which provides additional coverage up to $250,000.
