LA Financial Will Convert to Symitar Episys Platform

PASADENA, Calif. -- LA Financial Credit Union will be soon be converting its core processing to the Symitar Episys platform from Jack Henry & Associates.

"We are confident that converting to Symitar's stable, reliable, widely implemented system--one that was designed specifically and exclusively for the operational needs of credit unions--is in the best interest of our members, our employees and our business," said Barbara Nall, president and CEO of the $292 million, 34,000-member CU.

LA Financial, originally chartered as Courts and Records FCU, used to serve employees of the Los Angeles County court system until it was granted a charter to serve the entire county, geographically the largest community FOM granted by the NCUA.

More than 600 credit unions run on platforms from Symitar (www.symitar.com).

LA Financial (www.lafinancial.org) currently runs on a platform from Open Solutions Inc., according to the NCUA Web site.
