WSECU Leverages Google For Real-Time Info

OLYMPIA, Wash. -- Washington State Employees Credit Union is using the power of Google and the CU's knowledge management system to provide timely information to members on the home page of their choosing.

The $1.3 billion CU is using Google Gadgets to provide such things as current rates, branch locations and financial calculators through its knowledge base from Fuze Digital Solutions of Seattle.

Gadgets are mini-applications added to a Web page, Google Desktop or the iGoogle home page.

"We already use the Fuze Web services in our mobile banking platform, so we knew it was perfect for creation of a Google Gadget," said Tony Hildesheim, VP of IT at 151,000-member WSECU (www.wsecu.org).
