Navy Federal Wins Navy Award

VIENNA, Va. -- Navy Federal Credit Union has received the Department of the Navy 2007 Combined Federal Campaign President's Award. The award was presented at a CFC Awards ceremony held at the Pentagon Jan. 30, according to the CU.

Secretary of the Navy Donald C. Winter; Director Marine Corps Staff, Lieutenant General Richard S. Kramlich; and Vice Chief of Naval Operations, Admiral Patrick Walsh participated in the event. The ceremony recognized Department of the Navy Sailors, Marines and civilian employees for their record $3.9 million in contributions to CFC.

The President's Award recognizes campaign organizations achieving high levels of employee participation. There were 18 Department of Navy CFC Campaigns and only four achieved 75% employee participation. Navy Federal was one of the four.

"I am proud of our employees at Navy Federal. They not only go "above and beyond" in their commitment to serving our members, but they also help touch the hearts and homes of people who really need extra help," said Cutler Dawson, president/CEO of Navy Federal Credit Union.
