COCC Signs Boston CU, Touts 2007 Results

AVON, Conn. -- COCC said it has signed City of Boston Credit Union to a long-term technology partnership.

The $213 million CU is among a dozen credit unions and community banks the Avon-based provider of core processing and other solutions has signed in recent months, expanding its client list to 157 financial institutions, including about 40 credit unions.

City of Boston CU cited increasing complexity, need for more loan products, and greater integration between service channels as major reasons behind the decision to replace its core processing system, according to COCC.

The 18,600-member CU currently is running a system from Credit Union Online Inc., according to the NCUA Web site (www.ncua.gov).

COCC, the former Connecticut Online, said it expects to report that 2007 was a third consecutive year of record revenue growth. The company cited increased check processing volume and sales of risk management solutions, as well as interest in productivity solutions such as Oracle Financials and CRM, for helping to fuel the revenue growth.
