SDCU Launches LTC Insurance Seminar

EVERGREEN PARK, Ill. -- South Division Credit Union is helping its members learn more about long term care insurance.

The credit union offered a free "Long Term Care Insurance" seminar on Feb. 7.

The event was slated to feature a presentation by Sandy Essex, a licensed agent of AARP-endorsed Genworth Financial, sharing timely and easy-to-understand information about recent changes in what Medicaid and Medicare will and will not cover, why and when long term care insurance should be purchased and how to determine the right amount of coverage.

Statistics show that over 60% of individuals over age 65 will need some form of long-term care, yet few people properly plan for this eventuality.
